A On the 21^st of December – Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year, 24 people traveled to Dom Wilka to take part in the seasonal Creatual by Meike Ziegler, (these creatuals take place for every season change). Her concepts for these creatuals are inspired by the seasons itself as well as the Zeitgeist we find ourselves in. 

For Midwinter, Meike invited all participants to literally tap into the darkness, to sit in it and welcome it with open arms, reflecting on what darkness is and what it means to our senses and being. Everybody was asked to share their discoveries in small groups, searching for commonalties and resonance within each other’s findings. After darkness was embraced and insights were shared, it was time to open up to the new light. Meike revealed an elixir of secret light and invited all to poor some into an empty lightbulb-glass and to drink it. 

Some Insights found in Darkness: 

Darkness inspires fear, fear gives me reason to be and to care. Caring gives reason to matter. 

Through Darkness we recognise the meaning of light. 

Darkness provides a sense of rest, in which creativity is free to flourish. From there grows new light.
